How to Set Flexible Flight Dates

Written by AQ Help Desk

Overview

Some RFPs request flexible campaign dates instead of a single, fixed flight. When you open these RFPs, you’ll see a notification indicating date flexibility. After closing it, the specific date details requested will be visible in the RFP.

How flexibility appears in the RFP

  • A notification appears on open if dates are flexible.

  • A tag indicates flexible dates on the request.

  • The Account Manager may provide additional guidance in the RFP brief/instructions.

Date request types

Fixed Dates

  • The request expects the exact start and end dates specified.

  • This is the traditional flight type.

Flexible Dates

  • The request allows for date ranges and broader availability. Examples include:

    • Any start date within a range

    • Any availability within a date range

    • Other flexibility scenarios described in the brief

  • Look for the Flexible Dates tag and any AM instructions for specifics.

What to do

  1. Read the notification and close it to view the full date details.

  2. Review the brief for AM notes/instructions on how to interpret the flexible window.

  3. Propose inventory that aligns with the requested flexibility (e.g., any start within range).

  4. Use the Rationale/Unit Notes field to clarify how your availability satisfies the requested dates.

  5. The flexible date tag and requested date details remain visible after you dismiss the notification; continue your RFP submission as usual.
