How To Add Points Of Interest (POIs)

Search for places, add every result at once, or import a list, so your POIs appear as markers on the map.

Points of interest are specific places you want to advertise near — your stores, your competitors' stores, stadiums, transit hubs, anything with a fixed address.

Adding POIs puts markers on your map. On their own they are reference points; they only narrow your inventory once you turn on unit filtering, which is covered separately.

Searching For A Place

  1. Open the POIs step in the planner.

  2. Type what you are looking for into the search field — a business name, a chain, or an address.

  3. Add the results you want from the list.

Use the back arrow at the top-left of the panel to leave search and return to your added POIs.

Adding Every Result At Once

When a search returns a set you want in full — every location of a chain, for example — use the option to add all results rather than clicking each one.

*Note: Check the result count before adding everything. A broad search can return hundreds of places, and a very large POI list makes the map hard to read.

Adding A Long List

If you already have your locations in a spreadsheet, importing the file is faster than searching for each one. Look for Import from file in the POIs panel.

What Happens Next

Added POIs appear as markers on the map and are listed under POIs Added in the panel, with a running count.

POIs save as you add them. Close the step with the X in its top-right corner when you are finished.

**Note: POIs are optional. A campaign with no POIs matches inventory across your whole chosen market, which is often what you want for broad awareness.
