How To Manage Campaign Files

Keep documents with the campaign, and understand which ones media owners can see.

Written by Zachary Cuva

Documents kept on the campaign stay findable by everyone who works on it. Files in someone's inbox do not, which becomes a problem the moment that person is away.

Where Files Live

Go to ManageFiles to see and add documents on the campaign.

Files Versus Attachments

There are two places documents can sit, and the difference is who sees them.

Location

Purpose

Attachments

Documents shared with the media owners on the campaign — briefs, creative specs, restrictions.

Files

Documents kept with the campaign for your own team's reference.

*Note: Anything you would not want a media owner to read should not go in Attachments. Client rate agreements, internal margin working and negotiation notes belong nowhere near a document set that goes out with a request.

What Is Worth Keeping

  • The client's original brief.

  • Signed approvals of the plan or the budget.

  • Proposals a media owner sent outside AdQuick.

  • Notes on anything unusual about the buy, so whoever picks it up understands why it looks the way it does.

Name files so they make sense to someone who was not involved. A date and a description beats a version number nobody can decode.
