Finding inventory in Browse is only useful if you can act on it. Units you select can be added to a campaign you already have, which is how a Browse session turns into a plan.
You select units by drawing an area on the map rather than ticking them one at a time, so this works just as well for six units as for six hundred.
Adding Units
Filter first. Narrow Browse to the inventory you want — market, format, price, whatever matters. Only units matching your filters will be picked up.
Draw around the area using one of the map tools on the right-hand side of the map. Use the square tool for a quick rectangle, or the polygon tool to trace an irregular shape such as a neighbourhood boundary.
Check the count. A panel opens on the right headed "Add N units to a campaign", where N is the number of units inside your shape.
Pick the campaign. Under "Select the campaign you want to add the units to", start typing to search your campaigns and choose one.
Click Add N units.
The units join that campaign and appear on its Plan tab alongside everything already there.
Filter Before You Draw
This is the part worth getting right. Your shape and your filters work together — a unit is added only if it is both inside the shape and matches your current filters.
That is what makes the tool precise. Filter to digital billboards under a certain CPM, draw around downtown, and you add exactly those. Draw first without filtering and you will pull in everything in the area.
*Note: The count in the panel heading is your only confirmation of what you are about to add. Read it before clicking. If it is far larger than you expected, your filters are looser than you thought.
What Happens Next
Units added this way arrive with no availability state — they have not been requested from anyone. They sit as Not Requested until you ask.
So after adding, the sequence is the same as for any other unit on the campaign:
Request availability, from Manage → Units or by sending an RFP.
Request holds on what comes back available.
Mark units booked once agreed.
**Note: Adding a unit from Browse does not reserve it or notify the media owner. Nothing has been asked for until you request it.
Why Prices May Change
Prices in Browse are shown per four weeks and are indicative. Once a unit is on a campaign it is priced against that campaign's flight dates and duration, so the figure can differ — and the media owner's response supersedes both.
Worth remembering if you quoted from a Browse price and the campaign total looks different.
When This Is The Right Approach
Adding from Browse suits cases where you are working from inventory rather than from criteria:
A client has named specific boards or a specific area.
A media owner sent an avails sheet and you are looking sites up by Face ID.
You are topping up a campaign that came back thinner than you wanted.
You want a handful of premium sites the campaign's criteria did not match.
For building a plan from criteria — market, format, dates, budget — the campaign planner is the better tool, since it matches inventory for you.
*Note: Units are always added to a campaign that already exists. If you do not have one yet, create the campaign first and then come back to Browse to add to it.
