A media plan export is the presentable version of your campaign — laid out for a client rather than a spreadsheet of rows. It is what you send when someone needs to look at the plan, not work with the data.
Producing One
Open the campaign and click Export.
Go to the Media Plan tab.
Choose your Format.
Click Export.
PDF Or PowerPoint
Format | Choose it when |
You want it to look the same everywhere and are sending it as-is. The safer choice for anything going outside your company. | |
PPTX | You want to edit the deck — add your own slides, reorder, or drop it into a larger presentation. |
*Note: Export PPTX if there is any chance you will need to adjust the deck. Rebuilding a plan from a PDF is a waste of an afternoon.
Before You Export
The media plan reflects the campaign as it stands, so a few minutes of tidying pays off:
Remove units with no photo. Blank images are conspicuous in a deck. The Tools menu can clear them in one action.
Check your pricing is final. A client reading a superseded price is worse than no price.
Filter to what you actually want to present. Combine with Campaign Filters so unavailable or rejected units do not appear.
Confirm the campaign name reads well. It appears on the document.
Media Plan Or Units Export?
A simple test — who is reading it, and what will they do with it?
Media plan for a client who wants to look at the plan and approve it.
Units export for anyone who needs to sort, filter or calculate with the data.
Sending both is reasonable on a large buy: the deck to present, the spreadsheet for their records.
