How do I find inventory near specific locations or within an area?

Searching OOH inventory geographically: browsing by area, finding units near stores or points of interest, and evaluating whether placements are close enough to matter.

Written by Zachary Cuva

Most campaigns start with a geographic question: what exists near the places I care about? The platform is built to answer it in that order; area first, units second.

Browsing by area

Zoom the map to any city, neighborhood, or corridor and see every listed unit within it. You don't need to know unit IDs or media owners in advance; exploration starts spatially and narrows from there with format and audience filters.

Searching around specific points

Enter addresses or points of interest (your stores, a competitor, a venue, a conference center) and view inventory within a radius of each. For multi-location businesses, a full location list can drive the search, surfacing units near every store at once rather than one search at a time.

Judging whether a unit is close enough

Proximity on a map isn't the whole story; what matters is whether the unit intersects your audience's actual movement:

  • Direction and read: A billboard facing traffic heading toward your location is worth more than one the same distance away facing outbound traffic.

  • Route logic: Units on the natural approach routes to a destination beat units that are merely nearby.

  • Context: A unit at a decision point (near the freeway exit for your store) outperforms raw distance metrics.

Unit photos, facing information, and your AdQuick team's read on local traffic patterns all inform this judgment.

When an area has thin inventory

If the map shows little near a priority location, ask before concluding nothing exists; unlisted local inventory can often be sourced directly, and alternative formats (transit, place-based screens, mobile trucks) can cover areas fixed billboards don't. See the inventory scope article.
