Audiences let you judge inventory by who actually passes it, rather than only by where it is. Adding an audience scores the units on your map against that segment, so you can favour the locations that over-index for the people you want.
Audiences are optional. Skipping this step gives you a plan built on geography and format alone.
Adding An Audience
Open the Audiences step.
Type into Search Audiences to find a segment.
Add the ones you want from the results.
Use the back arrow at the top-left to leave search and return to your added audiences.
Narrowing The Catalogue
The audience catalogue is large, so two filters sit above the results.
Filter | What it does |
Provider | Filters by the data provider the segment comes from. You can select more than one at a time. |
Status | Filters by the segment's current state — Ready, Requested, To Request or Locked. One at a time. Ready segments are the ones available to add now. |
*Note: If the segment you want is not showing as Ready, contact your AdQuick representative to find out whether it can be made available for your campaign.
Reading The Map
Once an audience is added, the map shades to show where that segment concentrates, with a legend explaining the scale. Units in the strongest areas are the ones worth prioritising.
Adding two or more audiences combines them, and the legend notes when it is showing a combined score rather than a single segment.
How Many To Add
Start with one. A single well-chosen segment gives you a clear signal on the map; four overlapping ones average out into an even shade that tells you very little.
Audiences save as you add them, and can be removed at any time without affecting the rest of your plan.
